Deleting your Password Manager Account

Before you complete the steps below to uninstall the Password Manager browser extension or delete your Password Manager account, please leave us feedback so that we can either help resolve the issues you are experiencing or use your comments to continue making improvements.

Go to the Password Manager browser extension icon and navigate to Tools > Advanced Tools > My Account. Click Delete Account in the Existing User section to launch the Delete Your Account page. As the page mentions, please be sure to export and save all of your data before deleting your account, as this operation is not reversible.

If you choose to permanently delete your account, you should also uninstall the software from every device you used with Password Manager.

Uninstalling Password Manager by AOL: PC

Follow the directions below to uninstall Password Manager by AOL

  1. Select Uninstall Password Manager from your Password Manager by AOL folder in your Programs Start menu.
  2. Click Yes to allow changes to be made to your computer.
  3. Click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall Password Manager by AOL.
  4. Password Manager is now removed from your computer.

Uninstalling Password Manager by AOL: Mac

Follow the directions below to uninstall Password Manager by AOL

  1. Locate your Password Manager by AOL file. This may still be in your Downloads folder from when you first installed Password Manager.
  2. Double-click Password Manager by AOL Uninstaller.
  3. Click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall Password Manager by AOL. This will close and re-open all your web browsers, so be sure to save any work before doing so.
  4. Enter your computer password to allow changes to your system. Click OK.
  5. Password Manager is now removed from your computer.
