Members who upgrade their account to certain AOL plans are eligible for complimentary LifeLock identity theft protection1. If you have received the message "You are currently eligible for one LifeLock subscription", it means you are eligible.

If you are currently on an eligible AOL Plan, you can activate your LifeLock service today at the AOL LifeLock enrollment webpage. To view what your AOL Plan has to offer, check out your AOL MyBenefits page at mybenefits.aol.com.

LifeLock can see more and can fix more than what you can do on your own. Our proprietary technology monitors and alerts across a wide range of identity threats. If you become a victim of identity theft, a dedicated US-based LifeLock agent will work with you from start to finish to fix it. You can feel confident knowing that LifeLock has you covered with our Million Dollar Protection™ Package which includes reimbursement for stolen funds, our coverage to provide for lawyers and experts if needed, and for out of pocket expenses.

Once you've activated your LifeLock benefit, you will have continued complimentary access to your LifeLock service for as long as you remain on an eligible AOL Plan.

Is the complimentary LifeLock membership at no additional cost to me?

Yes it is, but only to certain AOL members. You will be notified once this benefit is available to you with instructions on how to complete a simple enrollment form to activate this feature.

How many memberships are included in my LifeLock membership?

Your LifeLock membership will include two complimentary adult memberships.

How do I activate my second LifeLock complimentary membership?

Activating your second LifeLock membership is fast and easy. Follow the instructions below to get started.

  1. Visit mybenefits.aol.com.
  2. Locate your LifeLock member benefit.
  3. Click Enroll Another Lifelock and you'll be taken to the activation page.

Can I add more than two family members?

Your LifeLock membership includes two complimentary adult memberships.

How long does the complimentary LifeLock membership last?

Once you’ve activated your LifeLock benefit, you will have continued complimentary access to your LifeLock service for as long as you remain on an eligible AOL Plan.

How is the complimentary LifeLock membership different from a free trial?

When you subscribe to a free trial of an AOL product, the trial typically lasts one month, at which time you can either cancel the subscription or begin paying a monthly or annual fee. In this case, as long as you stay on an eligible AOL Plan, you won’t pay an extra cent for your complimentary LifeLock membership.

How do I know my personal information is secure with LifeLock identity theft protection?

LifeLock takes significant measures to ensure all sensitive member data is secure.

LifeLock also maintains the highest level of PCI-DSS compliance
LifeLock is compliant as a Level 1 merchant under the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). PCI-DSS is a set of requirements that help protect cardholder data and is the accepted standard for all organizations that process credit card information.

In maintaining Level 1 compliance, LifeLock performs periodic vulnerability scanning and penetration testing of its network and other critical applications, applies industry-accepted encryption to all sensitive data, enforces strict and formal logical access controls and separation of duties, and restricts access to LifeLock facilities through biometric reader access.

Is my entire family covered by the complimentary LifeLock membership?

Your account is eligible for two complimentary LifeLock memberships. You must be an adult (18 years or older) to complete your LifeLock enrollment.

What happens to my complimentary LifeLock membership if I change my AOL Plan or cancel my AOL account?

This complimentary LifeLock membership is available only to active AOL members on the select AOL Plans. If you decide to change your AOL Plan to one that does not offer LifeLock as a benefit, you will no longer qualify for the complimentary LifeLock membership and it will be immediately canceled.

Likewise, if you choose to cancel your AOL membership or convert to a Free AOL account, this will also cancel your LifeLock identity theft protection. If the cancellation is pending your next billing date, your LifeLock membership will remain active until the cancellation of your AOL account is complete.

How do I sign up for the complimentary LifeLock membership?

Signing up is easy! You will be notified once this benefit is available to you with instructions on how to complete a simple enrollment form to activate this feature.

If you are currently on an eligible AOL Plan, you can activate your LifeLock service today. Go to AOL LifeLock enrollment webpage and click Activate Now. Sign in with your primary or designated primary Username and password. Next, you’ll need the following information:

  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Phone numbers

We understand that entering your personal data online can be scary, but AOL and LifeLock have teamed up to make it possible to protect your information. First, AOL will not store your Social Security number. Your SSN will be passed directly to LifeLock on a secure server. LifeLock takes significant measures to ensure all sensitive LifeLock member data is secured.

Once you're finished filling out the form, click Complete Enrollment. You’ll receive an email confirmation from AOL and LifeLock along with log-in credentials for the company's website, which is where you go to complete activation. Once you do that, you can relax in knowing that your identity has protection.

  • US-Based Identity Restoration Specialists. If your identity is compromised, an Identity Restoration Specialist will personally handle your case and help restore your identity.
  • Lost Wallet Protection. A lost wallet can mean a lost identity. Call us if your wallet is lost or stolen and we&'ll help cancel or replace credit cards, driver's licenses, Social Security cards, insurance cards and more.
  • USPS Address Change Verification. Identity thieves try to divert mail to get important financial information. LifeLock lets you know of change in address requests at the US Postal Service linked to your identity.
  • One-Bureau Credit Monitoring. We monitor key changes to your credit file at a leading credit bureau and alert you to help detect fraud. The credit score provided is a VantageScore 3.0 credit score based on Equifax data. Third parties use many different types of credit scores and are likely to use a different type of credit score to assess your creditworthiness.

How do I cancel my complimentary LifeLock membership?
