How do I change the password for additional Usernames?

IMPORTANT: AOL Screen Name is now known as AOL Username. You may still see Screen Name at some places as we are in the process of changing it across AOL. Please bear with us.

How predictable are you? Does everyone know your dog’s name or your favorite color? Your password should be easy for you to remember but not easy for others to guess. If your password is too simple, your AOL account is no longer secure. If you need help thinking of a new one, check out tips to create a secure password. You can also change the password for additional Usernames under your account.

To change the password for additional Usernames:

1. Go to My Account and sign in with your master Username and password.

2. Type the answer to your Account Security Question and click Continue.

3. Under Username Options, click Manage My Usernames.

4. Scroll down to the Additional Screen Names table. In the Password column, click the Change link that corresponds to the Username for which you want to change the password.

5. Under Change Password, type a new password in the text box. Next, type it again in the next text box to Confirm Password.

Note: The password is case sensitive and must be six to 16 characters.

6. Click Save.

That's all, folks!
