AOL Alerts Not Coming Through

AOL Alerts Not Coming Through

If you recently signed up to receive an AOL Alert on your cell phone and didn’t receive the mobile device confirmation code, it’s because this service is no longer available for new subscriptions.

If you previously subscribed to an AOL Alert, but you’re not receiving it, there could be several reasons why.

Unavailable alerts

Some of our alerts are no longer available, including sports scores and Amber Alerts. If you previously subscribed to alerts for News, Money & Finance or Feeds, these alerts are being delivered to existing customers but are no longer available as new subscriptions.

Alert limits

We enforce a 40-alert limit that applies to your total number of AOL Alerts, not just the stock alerts. So, if you currently receive more than 40 alerts, they won’t all go through.

Spam folder

Did you check your spam folder for misplaced alerts? They might’ve been filtered into that folder.

To remove alerts from your spam folder:
1. Open your email inbox.
2. Click the Spam Folder link in the left column.
3. Highlight any items from AOL Alerts and click This is Not Spam.

Add AOL Alerts to Contacts or Address Book folders

Adding the Username “AOL Alerts” to your address book might prevent the alerts from being blocked or filtered by your email.

If you subscribe to AOL Software (AOL 9.0, AOL 9.5, AOL 10.0, etc.):
1. On the AOL toolbar at the top of your screen, click the Mail drop-down menu and then click Address Book.
2. Once in Address Book, click Add.
3. Next to Username, type AOL Alerts and click Save.

If you subscribe to Free AOL:
1. Go into your AOL Mail and click Contacts in the left column.
2. Once in your address book, click the + New drop-down menu and click New Contact.
3. Next to First Name, type AOL Alerts and click Create.
