Change AIM settings in AOL Desktop v10.1

The AOL® Desktop software has many settings which can be customized to suit your needs. This includes settings for General IM, Enhanced IM, Offline IM, Mobile, IM Logging, Expressions, Sounds , Buddy List, Invisibility, Notifications, Privacy and Plugins.

Note: If the images are different from what you see on your computer, you do not have the latest version of AOL® Desktop software. Please install the latest version of AOL Desktop v10.1 software.

Change the AIM Settings

You can change the settings from the Buddy List® window.

To change the AIM settings
1. Launch the AOL® Desktop software, enter your screen name and password, and then click Sign In.

2. In the Buddy List window click the Edit menu, and then click Settings.

Note: You can also tap the F7 key on your keyboard to get to the Settings window.

3. Select the category tab.

4. Make the desired changes, and then click Save.
