AIM for Windows Mobile lets you communicate whenever you want, wherever you are, in whatever way suits you best - IM or text. You can view your Buddy List window, send and receive instant messages, set your away message and more -- all with your mobile phone or device. It's a great way to stay in touch with your friends, family and co-workers at times when you are away from your computer and do not want to call them. This service requires a data access or data plan from your wireless carrier.

What mobile devices are supported?

Mobile devices with Windows Mobile versions 5 and 6 are supported.

How much does this cost?

The service is free but requires a wireless data plan and charges from your carrier may apply. As an application, AIM is free of charge. Using AIM is a different matter. We recommend that you subscribe to a data plan for mobile web access. You may need to know how much your network carrier charges for data and how much data you use.

How old do I have to be to use the AIM service?

You must be 13 years old or older in order to use the AIM service.

How do I install AIM on my mobile device?

Open the Web browser on your mobile device, and then go to http://m.aol.com/portal/. Click the Products link at the top. Click AIM for Windows Mobile, and then follow the on screen instructions to install the AIM software.
