How to enable Automatic Password Recovery

Automatic Password Recovery allows you to change your AOL password without having to answer your Account Security Question. The feature works by identifying the computer you regularly use to sign on to your AOL Mail account.

Our systems pay attention to how often you log in to our sites and services using your computer. After our algorithms have determined the a specific computer of yours is frequently used, you'll receive a pop-up message from AOL prompting you to enable the Automatic Password Recovery feature. All you have to do is click Enable Service to enable Automatic Password Recovery.
