How do I look up a Stock Quote?
Having trouble finding a stock quote? DailyFinance makes it super simple to find the company or security stock information you need.
The easiest way to find a stock quote is by using the search functionality found at the top of all DailyFinance pages. Just follow the instructions below:
What information does the Stock Quote page include?
DailyFinance’s powerful search functionality will help you find what you’re looking for. Simply start typing a ticker or a company name and a helpful dropdown box will give you a list of suggestions.
B. Market Box
See what the market is doing right now. You can also access your Recent Quotes or view your Portfolios by clicking on one of the corresponding “Supertabs” just below the Market Box.
C. Current Price
View Real-Time price data for stocks that trade on the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX exchanges. If real-time data is unavailable for a particular ticker, this area will display the 15-minute delayed quote (and will be labeled as such). During pre-market and post-market trading, and Extended Hours quote is added to this area for tickers that participate in extended hours trading.
Immediately see how this ticker is performing against its relevant benchmark. Alternate timeframes are available without leaving the page – just click one of the links beneath the chart and it will update. Click the chart itself to access more advanced charting features.

Access a wealth of information about your ticker by selecting one of the many research and data tools offered in this area.

What is included in DailyFinance’s Advanced Charts?
A. Company Name and 1 Year Change
The Advanced Chart conveniently shows the ticker's 1 Year Percentage change next to its name.
B. Trading Details
Defaulting to the most recent time period, this area shows the time range selected, as well as the starting price for that time period (Open), the High and Low price for the time period, the ending price for that time period (Close) and the Volume of shares traded during the time period.
C. Time Period Selector
By moving your mouse over the chart, you can update the data in the Trading Details section by pointing to the timeframe for which you’d like data. The small red box will follow your mouse, indicating the point on the chart that you have selected.
D. Volume Bars
The volume bars indicate the volume of shares traded in the corresponding timeframe on the chart above it. The Green color indicates the ticker had a positive price change during that timeframe. Red indicates a negative change.
E. Chart Customization
The DailyFinance Advanced Chart is highly customizable using the drop down boxes available in this area. Options include:

Why can't I find my ticker symbol?
If you are receiving a message stating "Quote Data Unavailable" when attempting to access your ticker symbol on DailyFinance, it may be for one of a few reasons:
