Settings for Netscape Connect email accounts

Are you having trouble connecting to your mail through Netscape Connect? Are you using a different email client such as Outlook Express, HotMail or Thunderbird? Well, no worries. You can keep using the email client of your choice but you may need to change your settings to do so. The correct settings you will need to use to access the @wmconnect.com email are listed below.

imap.aim.com – this goes into the server entry within the account configuration for incoming mail.

smtp.aim.com – this goes into the server entry within the account configuration for outgoing mail.

port 587 – this goes into the servers advanced settings.

For example, if using Outlook:

1. Select Tools and click on Email Accounts.

 

2. Select Add a new email account and click Next.

 

3. Select IMAP and click Next.

 

4. If user information is already listed, go to Server Information and input settings noted above then select More Settings.

 

5. Click on the Advanced tab and enter 587 next to SMTP. Click OK.

 

6. You will then return to the screen from Step 4. Click Next.

7. Select Finish.

 

8. Enter password and select OK.

 

Once you have the above IMAP and SMTP settings in place, you should now be able to access your email.
