We're aware of a few minor issues affecting new AIM users, as listed below. We're currently working on resolving these. We'll update this list as we make progress against these issues. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
- Unread count
Unread counts are sometimes inaccurate and inconsistent between different apps.
- Facebook syncing
In some instances, Facebook notifications may take additional time to update within AIM.
- Facebook markup issues
Facebook notifications within AIM may display extraneous code or markup text.
- Conversation syncing
Complete conversation syncing is only available when chatting with other users of the new AIM and in AIM group chats. Conversations with people using older versions of AIM will be available locally, but will not synchronize between devices (this includes AIM 7, iChat and third party chat clients, such as Adium, Trillian, Pidgin, or Digsby). If you switch from your desktop AIM to your mobile phone AIM app, you will not see your conversation history with someone who isn't on the newest version of AIM. Chats with Google Talk users will be partially synced. Facebook chats will not be synced.
