AutoComplete not working in AOL 9.0

If the autocomplete feature in AOL 9.0 isn't working, try the solutions below to fix the issue. After trying the first solution, check whether you can use the autocomplete feature. If it's still not working, continue using the suggested solutions until the problem is fixed.

Solutions

Delete Address Book files

Some Address Book files of the screen name may have been damaged. When these files are deleted, the AOL software automatically creates new ones. This will not delete the addresses in your Address Book, just the files linking the Address Book on your computer to the Address Book stored on the AOL servers.

The following steps will delete the Address Book contents from your hard drive. However, when you sign on to the AOL service, they will automatically be replaced.

For instructions on how to delete the Address Book files, refer to our help article Delete AOL Address Book files.

Reset Mailbox state

Resetting the mailbox settings can help fix several common issues that you may be experiencing by re-synchronizing the servers that control your mailbox, address book, calendar, and preferences. For instructions on how to reset your mailbox settings, refer to our help article How do I reset my mailbox settings in AOL Mail?
