Issues with Webroot SecureAnywhere and AOL Desktop software

If you receive the error message "AOL will now install the files required for you to connect to the service. Click Yes to install these files. You may be asked to restart your computer; otherwise, you will not be able to connect," when starting up your AOL Desktop software, please follow the instructions below:

1. Click No to close the error message.

2. Open Webroot SecureAnywhere.

3. Click the Identity & Privacy tab at the top.

4. Click View/Edit Protected Applications.

5. Change all AOL-related entries (AOL, waol.exe, AOL TopSpeed, etc.) to Allow.

6. Close the window.

7. Restart your computer. After you restart, your AOL Desktop software will function properly again.
