How do I Cc or Bcc someone when sending mail using the AOL software?

Sending a carbon copy (or Cc) or a blind copy (or Bcc) when sending mail using the AOL software is a snap.

Here's how to:

Send a carbon copy (Cc)

1. On the AOL toolbar, click the Write icon.

””

2. In the 'Send To' box, enter the Usernames or email addresses of the primary recipients.

3. In the 'Copy To' box, enter the Usernames or email addresses of the recipients you'd like to Cc separated by commas. For example: aoluser1, aoluser2, name@companyname.com.

””

4. In the 'Subject' box, type a subject line for your email.

5. Type your message in the large message box.

6. Click Send Now or Send Later.

Send a blind copy (Bcc):

1. On the AOL toolbar, click the Write icon.

””

2. In the 'Send To' box, enter the Usernames or email addresses of the primary recipients.

3. In the 'Copy To' box, enter the Usernames or email addresses of the recipients you'd like to Bcc in parentheses. For example: (aoluser1, aoluser2, name@companyname.com).

Note: Primary or carbon copy recipients will not see the names of recipients who you blind copy.

4. In the 'Subject' box, type a subject line for your email.

5. Type your message in the large message box.

6. Click Send Now or Send Later.

Note: As the sender of the email, you'll always see the addresses of each recipient, even those who received blind copies. The addresses will show whether you look in your AOL mailbox, in the folders saved on your computer, or if one of the recipients sends a copy of the email back to you.

That's it!
