Display settings in AOL Mail basic version

You can customize how your mailbox will display information and customize the behavior of your mailbox.

To get to display settings using AOL Mail basic

1. Sign on to AOL WebMail by going to http://basic.webmail.aol.com.

2. On the upper right, click the Settings link.

How do I customize the number of mails displayed in the mailbox?

You can adjust the way your mailbox will behave when new e-mails arrive.

Page Size: In the General Settings section, next to Page Size, you can select from the drop-down menu, the number of mails to be displayed at a time in your mailbox.

How do I customize the settings to read my mails?

  • When reading messages, display the next message after moving or deleting the current one: If this option is enabled, the next message will display automatically when you move or delete the current e-mail.
  • Hide images in mail from unknown senders: If this option is enabled, you will not see images in your e-mails, which are sent to you from people who are not in your Contacts list.
  • Disable links in mail from unknown senders: If this option is enabled, the links will be disabled in your e-mails, which are sent to you from people who are not in your Contacts list.
