The My Folders folder is a special folder that allows you to permanently save your e-mail online on the AOL® servers. The folders saved under My Folders are not stored on your computer, so it can be accessed from another computer when you sign on to the AOL® service as a guest.
You can create personal folders and save them under My Folders. Personal folders are a handy way to organize your e-mail. You can create different folders to store e-mails by subject, sender, or any other criteria that suit your needs. You can also rename and delete your personal folders. You can store up to 5000 pieces of e-mail in each folder.
Important: The number of days an e-mail stays in your mailbox depends on the type of mailbox you use and the folder in which you save the e-mail. To learn more, please visit the online help article How long are my e-mails stored in my mailbox.
