Solutions
Check for Returned E-mail
Some e-mail programs have the ability to block either a specific
e-mail address or all e-mail addresses, depending on the user's
preference. If your address is being blocked by a particular
recipient, you will receive a "blocked mail" notice when you
attempt to e-mail them.
To check for returned e-mail:
1. On the AOL® toolbar, click the Read
icon.
2. Check the list of e-mail for returned e-mail. Back to Top
Contact the Recipient
Contact the recipient by means outside of e-mail to verify the
status of their e-mail service. In some cases, the third party
e-mail program may have been configured incorrectly during the
initial setup.
To contact the recipient:
1. Contact the recipient to verify that the e-mail address is
still valid and able to receive e-mail.
2. Verify with the recipient that the settings for their e-mail
program are not blocking your e-mail address. Note: The recipient will need to contact
their ISP's support for assistance to check the settings in their
e-mail program. Back to Top
Verify Your E-mail Is Being
Received by Other Recipients
Try sending an e-mail to a known good address such as your own to
verify the e-mail program is functioning correctly.
To verify your e-mail is being received by other recipients:
Send e-mail to another e-mail address to verify that your e-mail
