Mail controls and privacy settings

You may not be able to send email to a specific person based on their mail control or privacy settings.

One way to know if your mail is not getting through is to check for returned mail. You may receive a "mailer-daemon" email in your mailbox if your email has been returned. You will receive the message "This member is currently not accepting email" when you send email to an AOL member if they have set their mail controls to not accept email from you.

If you do receive either of these messages, check with the person you are trying to send email to in some other way. It is possible your email address or screen name got blocked inadvertently when mail controls were set up.
