Message: The password for [screen name] has been changed and this has caused the link...

You will receive the message "The password for [screen name] has been changed and this has caused the link to break. Click the OK button if you wish to re-establish the link" if the password for one of your linked accounts has been recently changed, and the AIM service can no longer sign on to that account. Follow the instructions given below to re-link the screen name.

1. Sign on to the AIM service.
2. At the top of your Buddy List®, click Menu, and then click Settings.

3. Click the Buddy List tab.

4. Click the Manage Linked Screen Names link.

5. Click Add a Screen Name.

6. Type the screen name and password, and then click Save.

7. Close the AIM Web Settings and the Settings - Buddy List window.
