| When trying to run the AIM® service, youmay receive the message "Invalid Screen Name", if you are attempting to
sign in with a screen name that the service does not recognize. After
trying the first solution, check to see if the issue has been resolved.
If you still receive the message "Invalid Screen Name", continue using
the suggested solutions until the problem is fixed.
You may wish to print or save a copy of these instructions as this
page may not remain visible as you go through the suggested steps.

Determine if Screen Name Is Spelt
Correctly
Check if the spelling of the screen name you are typing is
correct, then try again. Back to Top
Create New Screen Name
If you are an AIM user and your screen name is not being
recognized, please create a new screen name. We apologize for the
inconvenience. To create a new screen name:
1. Launch the AIM® software as you normally would. Do not
attempt to sign on.
2. On the sign in window, click the Get
a Screen Name link below the Screen
Name: box.
3. Complete the Create a Screen Name form,
then click the Submit button and follow
the onscreen instructions to complete the process. Back to Top
