How do I determine the version of my AOL Desktop Software?

You can find the version of your AOL Desktop Software by looking at the Sign On screen or the About AOL window. Check out the instructions below for more information.

Sign On screen

The AOL Desktop Software Sign On screen will display when you launch the AOL Desktop Software. If you look at it, you'll see the version of the AOL Desktop Software you're using. If you can't tell what version you're using, please open the About AOL window by following the instructions below.

About AOL window

To determine the version of your AOL Desktop Software using the About AOL window, perform the following:

1. Launch the AOL Desktop Software. You don't need to sign in.

2. In the menu bar, click Help and select About America Online or About AOL.

3. The About America Online or About AOL window will open, displaying the version of the AOL Desktop Software that you're currently using.
