What is Mix and Share?

Mix & Share is a feature that allows for anyone to share multiple feeds or bookmark items at one time. Similar to creating a music playlist Mix & Share enables users to create a personalized mix of the Web to share with others. By clicking the Mix & Share button on any folder of feeds or bookmarks a new page and a new Web site address or URL is created. The Mix & Share page address is also the address of a feed for the page so it can be used in your personalized homepage, blog or other feed related product. Upon sharing your mixes with your friends they can keep up with your updates as you add additional feeds and bookmark items to the shared folder.

How do I use Mix and Share?

Using Mix & Share is a breeze. Just create a folder and add a couple of your favorite feeds to it. You can rename the folder whatever you like. Click on the folder in the left pane to select it and display its contents in the right pane. Then click the Mix & Share button and you will create a public page on the Web for others to see your shared items. The page can also be shared via email or AIM®. The page URL is also a feed which means it can be placed as a clip on a blog or other site.

Can I unshare something shared?

Individual items that you share via email or AIM cannot be unshared once sent. However, Mix & Share items can be unshared by visiting the specific folder you shared on the feeds or bookmarks tab. Upon selecting the folder in the left pane, click the Mix & Share button in the right pane. A dialog should appear and allow you to " unshare" this folder. Click Unshare to make the folder private again. The URL or Web address will still be out on the Web but the contents will not be viewable by anyone that accesses them when an item is " unshared."
