| You want to convey a message to your friend and you see that your buddy is not online? That's ok. Send an offline message. In your Buddy List window, click the Offline group. You get a list of screen names belonging to your buddies who are offline. Click the screen name of the buddy to whom you want to a send a message. You can either click the Email or the Text link, depending on how you prefer the message to be sent. Your buddy will get the message when they sign in next time! How do I send SMS to an offline buddy?It's very simple, login to your AOL® WebMail using your screen name and password.
1. In your Buddy List® window, hover your mouse pointer over the screen name for which you want to send an SMS, and then click the phone icon.
2. In the Enter Phone Number box type the phone number of the buddy to whom you want to send an SMS.
3. In the text box type your message, and then click the Send button.
