| The ability to block a buddy is useful when you do not want someone on your Buddy List® window bothering you. This is a reversible process. You can unblock them whenever you want. Note: If the images are different from what you see on your computer, you do not have the latest version of AOL® Desktop software. Please install the latest version of AOL Desktop software. How do I block a screen name?
1. In the Buddy List® window click the Edit menu, and then click Settings.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Select the Block only the users below option.
4. In the Block List: box type the screen names you want to block, and then click Add.
Did you know: You can enter more than one screen name at a time separating them by a comma, and then click Add.
5. Click Save.

1. In the Buddy List® window click the Edit menu, and then click Settings.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. In the Block List: box click the screen name you want to unblock, and then click Remove. 
Did you know: You can remove more than one screen name at a time. Hold down the Ctrl tab on your keyboard, select the screen names you wish to unblock, and then click Remove.
4. Click Save.
