Request access to AOL Radio AOL Parental ControlsThe AOL® Parental Controls application lets you control your child's online experience to help ensure that it is safe, fun and enriching. By setting up child accounts for your kids, you can use AOL Parental Controls to apply Web filtering, online time restrictions, e-mail, and IM controls. It gives you a complete report on your child's Internet activities. Parental Controls for AOL Radio powered by CBS RadioAOL Parental Controls helps you block your child's access to AOL® Radio powered by CBS Radio. - If you designate a screen name as Kid (12 & under), or Young Teen (13 - 15), the screen name will not be able to access AOL Radio through the AOL® software.
- If you designate a screen name as Mature Teen (16 - 17), or General (18 and older), that screen name will be able to access AOL Radio through the AOL software.
For information on how to designate a screen name as Kid or Young Teen, please visit the Online Help article titled: Set Parental Controls. Note: Setting AOL Parental Controls online will block AOL Radio only on the AOL software. If you wish to block AOL Radio on external browsers like Internet Explorer®, Firefox®, and Netscape® Navigator, you need to download and install the AOL Parental Controls software. Back to Top Request access to AOL RadioWhen a screen name that is designated as Kid or Young Teen, tries to access AOL Radio, the following screen is displayed: 
Choose from one of the two options listed: - Ask For Permission: If you are unable to access AOL Radio, click the Ask For Permission button, request the master screen name holder of the account for access by typing your request in the You can add a note to your request here box, and then clicking the Send button.
- Get Access Now:
If you wish to get instant access to AOL Radio, click the Get Access Now button, and have the master screen name holder of the account type the password for his/her screen name, and then click the Approve button.
