Message: Account must be granted premium service privileges

You may receive the message "Account must be granted Premium Service privileges" when you try to sign up for the AOL Call Alert or AOL Voicemail service if the Username you are using is blocked from signing up for AOL Premium Services. To resolve the issue, you need to unblock the Username in Parental Controls.

To change your Username category setting
1. Sign on to the AOL software with the master Username.
2. Go to AOL Keyword: Parental Controls or parentalcontrols.aol.com.
3. Click Edit next to the Username for which you wish to verify the access.

Note: This feature is not available for Usernames under Kid (12 and under) category.

4. Scroll down to Downloads & Premium Services, and then clear the check box next to AOL Premium Service Subscriptions.
5. Click Save.
6. Click OK.
