Can I edit or remove Parental Controls?

Having trouble accessing the stuff you want to see? This probably has to do with AOL Parental Controls. Because children are not authorized to change these settings, they’ll need a parent or guardian (Master or Designated Master Username) to edit Parental Controls for the account. Read on for more information.

Configure Parental Control settings on internet browser

1. Sign on to the AOL Parental Controls using a master or designate master Username.

2. Click the Username you want to edit.

3. Select settings to change the overall age category to one that’s more appropriate.

Note: Selecting General under Protection Level will remove all Parental Controls. For more information on access levels for General Usernames, refer to the related articles listed on the right-hand side of the article.

4. Click Save.
