A. Company Name and 1 Year Change

The Advanced Chart conveniently shows the ticker's 1 Year Percentage change next to its name.

B. Trading Details

Defaulting to the most recent time period, this area shows the time range selected, as well as the starting price for that time period (Open), the High and Low price for the time period, the ending price for that time period (Close) and the Volume of shares traded during the time period.

C. Time Period Selector

By moving your mouse over the chart, you can update the data in the Trading Details section by pointing to the timeframe for which you’d like data. The small red box will follow your mouse, indicating the point on the chart that you have selected.

D. Volume Bars

The volume bars indicate the volume of shares traded in the corresponding timeframe on the chart above it. The Green color indicates the ticker had a positive price change during that timeframe. Red indicates a negative change.

E. Chart Customization

The DailyFinance Advanced Chart is highly customizable using the drop down boxes available in this area. Options include:

• Chart: Modify the plot type of the chart. Choose from Mountain, Line, OHLC (Open/High/Low/Close) or Candlestick.
• Benchmark: Choose a Benchmark to display on the chart with your ticker. Dow Jones, NASDAQ, S&P500, and NYSE Composite are all available for US tickers. If you’d like to compare against a different benchmark or ticker, please see Symbol Comparison below.
• Timeframe: A number of different timeframes can be analyzed in the tool. Choose from Intraday, 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, 1 Year (default), 3 Year, 5 Year, and 10 Year.
• Averages: Add a moving average line to your chart. You can select a 10, 20, 50, 100, or 200 day MA.
• Frequency: Modify the granularity of the data in your chart. Data can be displayed daily, weekly, or monthly.
• Indicator Chart: Selecting from this dropdown will add a companion chart just below the Volume Bars. There are a number of options to choose from including Momentum, Fast/Slow Stochastics, MACD, and many more.
• Scale: Toggle between Linear (default) and Logarithmic scaling.
• Symbol Comparison: You can add up to 5 additional tickers for comparison. Simply type them into this box separated by commas.

F. Updated Chart

Click this button to update the chart if you've changed the options in the Chart Customization area.
