AOL Support: Set browser's security settings to default in Internet Explorer 8.0

Follow the steps below to learn how to set Internet Explorer 8.0 security settings to default.

To set Internet Explorer 8.0 security settings to default:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Tools menu and then click Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab, select Internet and then click Default level. If you can't click Default level, then this option is already set to default.

4. Click the Privacy tab and then click Advanced.

5. Check the Override automatic cookie handling, select Accept for First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies and click OK.

6. Click OK on the Internet Options window.

Yippee! You’ve now set Internet Explorer 8.0 security settings to default. You may need to close and then re-open the browser for the changes to take effect.
