Why have I received an Email Storage Maintenance email?
AOL sets generous limits on the number of email messages that can be stored in your mailbox. However, some members do manage to reach this limit, especially if they keep all emails as new, receive many emails, or subscribe to frequent-sending mailing lists.
If your mailbox has reached its maximum storage limit, you will not be able to send or receive new emails until the size of your mailbox is increased. In such a situation, AOL will send you an Official AOL email to let you know how to increase your mailbox size. This email is called the Email Storage Maintenance email. This email will have a link to an Image Challenge page.
Given below is an example of an Image Challenge page.
You need to enter the letters displayed in the Image in the Code in Image box to pass the image challenge. Once you have entered the letters in the required box, click Submit. This will confirm that you want AOL to increase the size of your mailbox.
Remember: emails sent by AOL will always be in the Official AOL Mail format.
