| When you go on a vacation, you can ensure that an automatic response is sent to anyone who sends you an e-mail. This automatic response is called Mail Away Message.
To set up a mail away message
1. Sign on to AOL® WebMail by going to http://webmail.aol.com.
2. On the upper right, click the Settings link.
3. Under General Settings, click the drop-down menu next to Mail Away Message, and then click the appropriate away message.
Note: If you click Custom in the drop-down menu next to Mail Away Message, you will get a box where you can enter your personal away message. Please note that
- you can only type 256 characters in the box;
- your complete away message will appear in one paragraph and not as separate paragraphs;
- HTML tags, if any, will be removed once you click Save.
4. Click Save.
5. Click Check Mail to continue using AOL WebMail.
