Add or designate secondary billing contact

Are you the master account holder on your AOL account? If so, you are the sole person who can make payments for the account. But there is a way to share the responsibility – you can add a secondary billing contact.

A secondary billing contact: 

  • Acts as your representative in your absence and can receive support from AOL Customer Support Team.
  • Will have access to all of your billing information.
  • Can make changes to your account information, such as passwords, AOL Advantage Plans, contact information and payment method.

Note: Keep in mind that, as the master account holder, you will continue to be financially responsible for your account and its compliance with AOL’s Terms of Service.

Add or designate a secondary billing contact

1. Go to My Account and sign on with your master Username, password and answer to your Account Security Question.

2. Under Account Options, click Update My Contact Information.

3. Make sure all of your current information is correct. To add a secondary contact, click Edit.

4. Enter the name of the person you want to designate as your secondary billing contact and click Save.

5. A confirmation message should appear at the top of your My Account Overview page.

That’s it! Nothin’ to it, right? Now you have a reliable back-up contact to help you manage your AOL account billing.
