AOL Bulk email Exception List (White List)

Bulk Mailers and email marketers who meet strict delivery standards will be allowed to send mail to AOL members by being placed on the AOL White List.

AOL actually maintains two forms of white listing, one that a mailer can be added to by request (if they fit our criteria) and one to which addition is automatic, called the Enhanced AOL White List.

What is the maximum number of emails that can be sent to AOL members?

AOL does not have a preset maximum allowable number of emails that a member may send. In addition, there is no specific answer to when the Community Action Team (CAT) may flag a member's account for sending unsolicited email. Individuals sending unsolicited bulk email may try a variety of methods to avoid detection. Therefore, AOL's rules for flagging accounts and the filters AOL uses are complex and proprietary.
