| Are you receiving unwanted instant messages? You can block unwanted IMs in AOL Mail and stop a specific Username from sending you IMs in the future. To block someone from sending you IMs:
1. In your AIM window, find the person you'd like to block and click the i to the right of their name.
2. Under their Username, click Block.
That's it! A small red circle with a minus will appear by the Username that you blocked.
