You can change text and formatting options in your email on the fly. This allows you to customize your email as you see fit, adding your own personal touch! To apply text formatting, follow the instructions below: 1. Highlight the text you want to format. 2. On the text styling toolbar, select a formatting option. Your highlighted text will change based on your selection. IMPORTANT: If you would like to change your default text settings, please visit AOL Keyword: Text & Font Settings.
For more information on the formatting features available, please select an option below: Text font
Click the Text font drop-down menu and select a font type you would like to use. The default font for e-mail, chat and instant messages is Arial. Text size
Click the Text size drop-down menu and select a font size you would like to use. The larger the number, the bigger the letters will appear. Bold
Click the Bold button to change highlighted text to appear thicker. Italics
Click the Italics button to change highlighted text to appear slanted. Underline
Click the Underline button to underline highlighted text. Text color
Click the Text color button and select a text color you want to use. When you're satisfied with your selection, click OK; highlighted text will change to the selected color. Note: We strongly recommend selecting different text and background colors to make your text visible. Background color
Click the Background color button and select a background color you want to use. When you're satisfied with your selection, click OK; the highlighted text's background will change to the selected color. Click the Format button, then select from the following formatting options:
