Delete a previously used payment method

It’s easy to change your payment method at any time during your AOL monthly billing cycle.

IMPORTANT: To change your payment method you’ll need your password and the answer to your Account Security Question. If you don’t remember either of these, make sure to reset them before going any further. Learn how at How do I change my password? and Change or reset my Account Security Question.

Delete payment method:

1. Go to My Account and sign in with your Username and password.

2. Type the answer to your Account Security Question and click Continue.

3. Click Manage My Wallet and Billing Info under Account Options to change or update a specific payment method for multiple subscriptions.


4. Once the Payment Types page appears, click the Remove icon to delete your payment method.


Ta-da! Your payment method is officially deleted.

IMPORTANT: If the Remove icon is presented in grey and cannot be selected, it is because the selected payment method is linked to a subscription product. You must select a different payment method for your paid subscription before deleting.


If you would like to start paying with a card not on file without deleting your current payment method, click Add Payment Type at the bottom of the table and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new method of payment to your account.
