Why is mail delayed on my iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad?

If mail delivery is delayed on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, or if you are not getting notifications, or if you are not receiving Mail until you actually open the Mail app, you might want to check the 'Fetch New Data' setting on your AOL Mail account and make sure it is set to 'Push.'

Here's where to look:

1. Tap Settings.

2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3. Under the list of accounts, tap Fetch New Data - even if it already says 'Push.'

4. At the top of the screen, ensure that Push is set to ON.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of this screen and tap Advanced.

6. Tap your AOL account in the list of accounts.

7. Under 'Select Schedule,' tap Push if it is not already checked.

That's it! This should fix delayed delivery of mail -- as well as  notifications.
