AOL Desktop for Mac software lets you setup an automatic e-mail response to be delivered to people who send you an e-mail when you are unable to respond for a period of time. Each person who sends you an e-mail while your automatic response is activated, will receive your away message only once, unless the content or the end date of the away message is changed.

To setup an automatic e-mail response message

1. Click AOL Desktop v10.1 menu, then click Preferences.

2. Click the Mail icon.

3. Click the General tab.

4. Click the Edit Mail Away Message button.

5. In the Mail Away Message window, click the desired option, and then click Save.

When finished, close the Mail Away Message window.
