How do I hyperlink in mail using AOL Desktop for Mac?

Note: To insert a hyperlink, you will first need to log into the AOL Desktop Software and go to the web address you want to send.

1. After you have entered the web address, click on Web (not the Web icon).

2. Click on Web Actions and select Mail Link to this Page.

 

3. Your email box will then appear.

Note: The text regarding the link is in the body of the email box.

 

4. Enter the recipient's email address and hit Send.

Voila! Now, when the recipient of your email clicks on the hyperlink, it'll take them directly to the website you linked to.

Create and use Address Book Mailing List on AOL Desktop for Mac

When using AOL Desktop for Mac, the AOL Address Book provides a quick and easy way for you to send emails to multiple contacts by creating group mailing lists. You can create mailing lists for different sets of contacts. Group mailing lists are easy to set up and to edit.

Create an AOL Address Book Group Mailing List

You can add email addresses to more than one group. To create a group mailing list for AOL Desktop for Mac software, follow the instructions below:

1. On the AOL toolbar, click Window, then click Address Book.

2. Right-click the name of a group, then click Add Mailing List.

3. Enter the email addresses you want to add to the mailing list, then click Save. This will create a mailing list for the group.

4. Click the red dot in the top left to close the Address Book window.


Edit an AOL Address Book Group Mailing List

You can add or remove e-mail addresses from your AOL Address Book groups at any time. To add a contact to a mailing list, follow the instructions below:

1. On the AOL toolbar, click Window, then click Address Book.

2. Select the name of the group you want to modify. Under Name, double-click Mailing List, add or remove email addresses from the list, then click Save.

3. Click the red dot in the top left to close the Address Book window.

To delete a mailing list, follow the instructions below:

1. On the AOL toolbar, click Window, then click Address Book.

2. Select the name of the group you want to delete. Under Name, right-click Mailing List, then click Delete.

3. Click Remove to confirm.

4. Click the red dot in the top left to close the Address Book window.

How do I run spell check in email?

If you wish to run a spell check when you are composing an email, you can do so easily. On the menu bar, click Edit, select Spelling, and then click Check Spelling or Check Spelling While Typing.

How do I change the font size?

You can change the size of the font when you are reading an email or instant message. On the menu bar, click Format, and then click Bigger or Smaller.

Repeat the step until the font increases or decreases to a size that you can read with comfort.

How do I customize my mail?

The Stylebar feature of the AOL Desktop for Mac software lets you customize your email. You can change the font style, font size, text justification, font forground color, and font background color as well as insert emoticons. The stylebar shows up on the write mail window by default. However, if you do not see the stylebar, or if you wish to turn it on, you can do so by clicking the drop-down menu next to the To: box, and then clicking Stylebar.

How do I restore deleted mail?

If you have accidentally deleted an email, you can restore it easily.

To restore a deleted email

1. Ensure that you are signed in to the AOL Desktop for Mac software.

2. Click the Mail icon.

3. Click the Trash folder to show deleted emails.

4. Choose the email that you wish to restore by clicking it, and then click Undelete.

How do I add a mail signature?

Any mail signature that you have created can be added to an email. While composing an email, click the Signature drop-down menu to open it, and then choose a signature from the list of signatures that you have created.

Note: If you do not see the Signature option, click the drop-down menu next to the To box to open it, and then click Signature. This will bring up the Signature option.
