Official AOL Mail is how we communicate directly with you. We only send it when there's important information you should know about.

Since there are a variety of phony-email scams out there that are designed to trick you into divulging your AOL account credentials, we put some safeguards on the mail we send so you can trust that it's from us.

You can easily identify Official AOL Mail by the small pink AOL logo next to the message in your inbox: well as by the Official AOL Mail banner above the email message itself:

AOL will never ask you for your username, password, or any other private account information in an email we send to you. Be on the lookout for emails claiming to be from AOL that ask you for this kind of information, and please mark them as spam!
