As an AOL member, you now have access to a complimentary membership to AARP as part of your AOL plan. You may add your spouse or partner to your complimentary membership as well.

How much does a membership to AARP cost?

AARP membership is included as part of AOL Advantage Plans at no additional cost.

Am I eligible for a membership to AARP?

Certain AOL Advantage Plans are eligible for a complimentary AARP membership. To view what your AOL Plan has to offer, check out your personalized AOL MyBenefits page at mybenefits.aol.com.

How do I activate my AARP membership?

To receive your complimentary AARP membership included in your AOL plan, register using one of the methods below:

  • Visit AOL AARP webpage and click Get Started. Follow the prompts to complete your AARP membership registration.

    Note: whether you are an existing AARP member or not, you will need to register.

  • Activate your AARP membership from mybenefits.aol.com. Simply sign in with your Username or Email and Password. Next, locate AARP and then click Enroll Now. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your membership.

If you haven’t already done so, you may also create an online AARP account to access exclusive online benefits. Be sure to click Complete Online Registration on the AARP enrollment confirmation page.

How many AARP memberships can I activate?

You are allowed 1 AARP membership as part of your AOL plan. If you have not already done so, you may add your spouse/ partner to your existing AARP membership by contacting AARP at 888-687-2277.

How do I get support for AARP?

If you are having trouble activating your AARP membership please call 1-800-827-6364 for support.

How do I cancel AARP Magazine, emails, or membership?

To cancel any of your complimentary AARP services: emails, AARP Magazine, or your membership, please call AARP at: 888-687-2277. Canceling your account through AARP will not automatically cancel your account with MyBenefits and your benefit cannot be re-used for yourself or someone else.

The option to deactivate your account through MyBenefits will not be available at this time. Once you have enrolled for AARP through AOL you will need to call AARP to cancel. No further action is required.

What happens if I change my AOL plan or cancel my AOL services?

If you change your AOL plan to another Advantage Plan that also has AARP then you'll retain your complimentary AARP membership and automatic renewals.

If you change your AOL Plan to another that does not include AARP, then you will retain your 2-year membership and will not receive automatic renewals.
