Keep a valid mobile phone number or email address on your account in case you ever lose your password or run into a prompt to verify your account after signing in. We'll also include your recovery email address when sending a notification of changes made to your account.
Add a mobile number or email address
- Sign in to the AOL Account Security page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Click Add email or Add phone number.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to enter and verify your new recovery info.
Replace a mobile number or email address
- Sign in to the AOL Account Security page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- First add a new email or phone number.
- Enter your new recovery info and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Click remove next to the old recovery option.
- Click Remove email or Remove phone to confirm.
Delete a mobile number or email address
- Sign in to the AOL Account Security page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Click Remove next to the recovery option you want to delete.
- Click Remove email or Remove phone to confirm.
