AOL MyHealthProtected - Member Benefit FAQs

As an AOL member you can now have access to a health savings plan that allows you to have more control over your family’s budget to make your healthcare dollars go farther.

AOL MyHealthProtected offers savings on health services such as prescriptions, vision, hearing, lab work and diagnostic imaging. It also provides 24-hour access to Telemedicine allowing you to consult a medical provider by phone, app or webcam for only a $45 fee.

Am I eligible for this special offer?

You can receive this benefit if it is included in your AOL plan. You can learn more about the benefits included in your plan by going to your AOL MyBenefits page at mybenefits.aol.com or you can learn about other AOL Plans that may include this benefit.

How many accounts can I have?

Each AOL account can have up to seven usernames. Each adult username (18 years or older) may have one separate AOL MyHealthProtected account and may be eligible for the discounts.

How much does it cost? Will there be changes to my billing?

The 24/7 Telemedicine benefit allows members to consult a national network of US-licensed board-certified medical providers with a $45 fee.

You pay discounted rates for lab work, prescriptions, glasses, hearing aids, etc. with your personal payment method, such as your credit card. There will be no changes to your AOL bill.

How often can I use it?

You may use the AOL MyHealthProtected benefit as often as needed.

How do I get started?

You can get started by going to AOL MyHleathProtected. Once you complete the enrollment process you can print an AOL MyHealthProtected prescription card from the confirmation page or from https://aol-myhealthprotected.mymemberguide.com.

How do I obtain a new member ID card?

You have three options to obtain a new member ID card.

  1. Call 1-800-708-0318 to request a new card. It will be mailed to your address on file within 10-14 days.
  2. Sign in to mybenefits.aol.com and click the "Print Member ID Card" button to print your card.
  3. Sign in to aol-myhealthprotected.mymemberguide.com to print or view your card on a mobile device.

Is AOL MyHealthProtected available where I live?

AOL MyHealthProtected is available in most areas. Currently it is not available to residents in Alaska, Utah, Vermont or Washington. Benefits can vary by state.

Can I use these benefits for my family?

Yes, AOL MyHealthProtected provides discount and wellness saving benefits to you and your immediate family members.*

*Immediate family members are defined as a spouse or domestic partner, dependent children up to the age of 26, parents in the household over age 60 and any other IRS Dependents.

Can I take advantage of this benefit if I already have healthcare coverage?

Yes, you should ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist which option—the AOL MyHealthProtected discount or your existing healthcare insurance—provides better coverage for each healthcare service you need.

Please note, you will not be able to use the AOL MyHealthProtected discount and your existing health care insurance at the same time.

I’m not getting the correct discount amount. Where can I go for support?

How will I know if this special offer has been activated?

You can check on the status by going to mybenefits.aol.com. If it’s been activated, you will see a green circle with a checkmark icon that says “Feature Activated”.

How long will I continue to receive my discount?

The AOL MyHealthProtected benefit will be available to you as long as you remain on an eligible AOL plan.

Will I still qualify for the AOL MyHealthProtected benefit if I cancel AOL or change my AOL plan?

If you move to an AOL plan that does not offer AOL MyHealthProtected you will lose this benefit. This also applies if you cancel AOL or move to a free AOL account.

How do I cancel AOL MyHealthProtected if I no longer want it?

There are no formal steps you need to take to cancel. You may simply stop using the benefit.
