I see ads after activating Ad-Free Mail for AOL Desktop Gold
Ad-Free Mail for AOL Desktop Gold removes paid ads from your mail experience in Desktop Gold. Paid ads promote products and services that aren't related to AOL.
If you still see paid ads in mail after activating the benefit, sign out of Desktop Gold and sign in again. Ad-Free Mail for AOL Desktop Gold can only be activated for one username on an account with an eligible plan, and you must sign in to Desktop Gold with the username you activated the benefit for to see the ad-free mail experience.
Still seeing ads? Here's why:
- Paid ads are only removed from the mail experience in Desktop Gold, and will still be shown in chat rooms and on your chat room list.
- You'll continue to see promotions for AOL products and brands in Desktop Gold after activating the benefit. These promotions come directly from AOL, aren't paid ads, and are designed to keep you informed about our latest product news.
The ad-free mail benefit is exclusive to AOL Desktop Gold software for Windows 7 and above. Older versions of AOL Desktop aren't supported. If you access AOL Mail from a desktop or mobile web browser, or using the AOL app, you'll still see paid ads.
