Update Netscape ISP account info in 3rd party email applications

Below are instructions on how to manually configure the mail server and port settings on many common third-party email clients. Remember to use the Netscape ISP supported configuration below while updating your mail settings.

Step 1: Find the mail server settings in your email application.

These settings can usually be found under an account settings menu in your application. Then, go to step 2 to change your mail server and port settings.

For specific help with email setup and configuration, you can find a list of common email applications and links to help for each of these below.

Step 2: Check your Server and port settings using the information provided in the chart below.

Your email client might prompt you to select either IMAP or POP3. To learn more about the differences between IMAP and POP3, please visit our help article What is the difference between POP3 and IMAP? If you decide to change your configuration from POP3 to IMAP, be sure to save or backup your email to avoid potential loss during the transition.

If you update your settings and can't retrieve your mail or encounter an error, check your username. It should be your full email address, including @netscape.com.

Tip icon Some email clients may require you to use an app password instead of your Netscape password. Once generated, enter the app password in the Password field in your email client.
